“Not with my baby!”
This one is from the personal stash (Ph.D. hooding 2011). I was her baby-protected and cared for when my teenage mom had me and thought she was moving out of her house at 16 to set up her own. My grandmother, Warnella Wells (1936-2013) told her you can go but not with my baby! When she became terminally ill in 2012 one of my greatest joys was being there as her life force transitioned from this side to the other. She became my baby. And I made many similar decisions in the spirit of……not with my grandmama you won’t! Life is full circle and it’s precious!
